Technical Feasibility
Before commencing a comprehensive mechanical product development design approach, we create concept layouts and basic engineering calculations to determine greater parameters surrounding the project as well as potential pitfalls through both the design and construction phases. We also have a wealth of knowledge surrounding patents and other IP options, so we can provide support in securing design registration.
Detailed Fabrication Shop Drawings
Our mechanical drafters use both 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software to create solid models and detailed technical drawings of machinery design. This process helps clearly communicate the way your creation should be constructed. It also showcases how the model or part will look from every direction.
Detailed Design
Trang Imagineering specialises in seamless design. If you are seeking mechanical design consultancy for turning your initial concept into exciting 3D designs, we can help. Our team considers everything – from function, operation, price and production practicalities to aesthetic, ergonomics, safety, and industry standards.
Engineering Project Management
Once design works are completed, our team can stick around to manage the construction process of your project. These services can be provided as either an EPC contract, an EPCM, or on a schedule of rates arrangement.
Engineering Verification
Our consulting mechanical engineers are meticulous when it comes to verifying that design complies with relevant Australian or international standards. We use a suite of finite element analysis (FEA) tools, such as Strand7, to assess structural adequacy and performance requirements. We also use matrix tools, like FMEA, to conduct risk assessments.
Consulting Services
Trang can provide consulting engineers on a contract basis for projects that require dedicated mechanical engineering consultant support. This service includes the key technical project resource as well as assistance from our full engineering back-office, as required. Our dedicated office is in Orange NSW, but we can easily travel to site as per your project requirements.
3d Laser Scanning
Using our own 3D laser scanner, we can measure internal and external surfaces of mechanical plant and equipment, such as buckets, process piping, tanks, vessels, and structural steel. This creates a comprehensive dataset capture of geometry that can be utilised for reverse engineering existing equipment and designing new equipment. 3D scanning services can be provided as part of a design project or for other mechanical engineering consultancy requirements.
Ongoing Design & Technical Support
In the event of your design needing future modification, Trang is always ready to provide you with full support. For example, an alternative OEM part may have become available, or a better working system might have evolved. Whatever the change scenario, we can carry out the required modifications along with full revision control detailing the alterations.
